      Asia, Middle East, and Africa Region M&A Leader
      Dr. Ake Ayawongs is a Partner and Head of Mercer’s M&A Consulting Services for Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He is also the Managing Director of Mercer (Thailand) Ltd, based in Bangkok. His focus is in advising organizations on the human capital issues resulting from mergers & acquisitions, international business expansion and business transformations.

      Ake has extensive consulting experience across functional disciplines, including strategy development, M&A integration, organizational transformation, and human resource management. He is a frequent speaker on M&A, leadership, international HR, and culture integration in Asia.
      He has advised Fortune 500 and Asian MNCs on HR acquisition strategy development, HR due diligence, post-merger integration, executive & talent retention, organization design, workforce integration, performance management system alignment, compensation & benefit integration, expatriate compensation and mobility, leadership & culture integration, and communication & change management in the energy (utilities, resource, oil & gas, petrochemical), financial services (banking, insurance), high-tech, pharmaceutical, retail, and professional services sectors.
      Prior to joining Mercer, Ake was a Consulting Manager at a boutique strategy consulting firm where he led strategy, marketing, organizational transformation, and operations improvement assignments. Prior to that, he served as an Investment Analyst at an investment promotion agency and a Consultant at another leading global consulting firm.

      Ake holds a Master of Engineering from the University of New South Wales and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Manchester Business School. He has completed the M&A executive program at the Wharton School.
      Stan Feng

      Present Responsibilities
      Stan Feng, based in Beijing, leads Mercer China’s M&A advisory business. Prior to relocating to China in 2004, Stan had been with Mercer’s Boston office for 10 years. During his tenure with Mercer’s Retirement and International practice, he worked with Mercer’s colleagues globally in assisting multinationals on a wide range of human resources issues.

      Stan has extensive experience in the area of HR plan design, funding and accounting, and he has been involved in many projects in designing, analyzing and benchmarking and harmonizing HR programs. He has consulted many Fortune 500 companies as well as large Chinese companies.
      While working in the US, he has worked on many M&A projects. Since relocating back to China, he has actively been involved in M&A deals, and during the past couple of year alone, he has managed over 20 M&A HR due diligence and post-merger integration projects.
      In addition, Stan is also the co-author of Mercer’s white paper on the new China Labor Contract Law.

      Stan received an MBA from Georgetown University, and has also completed executive program in M&A from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.
